Privacy Policy

We take every precaution to secure the data entrusted to us by workshop attendees. While no set of precautions can guarantee that a leak cannot occur, we have gone to extremes in order to do our very best to ensure your security and maintain your trust in us.

We do not offer a client portal where personal information is displayed or can be modified. This is because such portals offer a ripe attack vector for hackers. Therefore, if any updates to personal data are required, they must be done via email from the email address established upon initial signup.

Procedurally, we are bound to compliance with the US HIPAA statute (a US Federal law that dictates exactly how your sensitive information must be handled). Failure to comply with these regulations may result in fines being levied against SII or other types of censure from the US Federal government.

Under no circumstances will your data ever be sold or made available to a third party outside of SII unless we are compelled to do so by law enforcement. Your data will only be used for the purpose of administering your participation in the workshops you are enrolled in and for occasional soliciting of donations.

Donor names and contact information may be used by Scientific Illuminism Institute (SII) for communicating periodic news and/or updates, no more than 6 times per year, about any progress being made toward defined initiatives or any other work being done as a result of donor contributions. We may also, no more than 2 times per year, solicit further contributions.
We will never sell or otherwise make donor information available to any party outside of SII or use it for any other purpose, except at the formal demand of law enforcement.
